In June 2012 College of Menominee Nation (CMN) entered into a Cooperative Agreement with the US Forest Service, Technological Marketing Unit with the Forest Products Lab (FPL), to help develop marketing tools (brochures, website development, single page photo glossies, etc.) and conduct a market study to identify key target markets for the Menominee Tribal Enterprises (MTE) Millwork division.   The Millwork division produces primarily mid-grade cabinetry and moldings.

The project consisted of 3 major components:

1)      Retaining a marketing consultant (Don Peterson, RRS Consulting) to work on developing the marketing tools with MTE staff and conducting market research to identify key target markets

2)      Conducting both basic and advanced millwork training at Madison Area Technical College for MTE employees

3)      Providing a student intern research and learning experience
