Save the date for “Shifting Seasons: Great Lakes Forest, Industry, Products, and Resources Summit hosted by CMN Sustainable Development Institute on June 6 and 7, 2012. The Summit will be held at the Menominee Casino Resort.
The summit will engage regional stakeholders to open a dialogue on emerging issues and opportunities of the forest resources and forest products industry in the Great Lakes Region.
The primary summit functions include:
- Share potential and ongoing research projects
- Provide a forum for Tribes and other regional stakeholders to share experience and knowledge
- Assess the status of the forest resource and wood products industry and develop strategies that will contribute to a sustainable future for both, with an emphasis on rural areas
The format will cover the following themes:
- Innovation and Technology
- Environmental considerations affecting forests and wood products
- Marketing and branding
- And MORE
Targeted participants (stakeholders) include policy makers, planners, natural resource managers, students, higher education, government officials, and industry representatives.
