United Nations Division for Sustainable Development - Agenda 21 - This is a comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations System, Governments, and Major Groups in every area in which human impacts on the environment.

Montréal Process - This establishes seven criteria and 67 associated indicators for forest conservation and sustainable management of temperate and boreal forests.

Forest Service International Programs - This is the Forest Service unit dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management and biodiversity conservation internationally.  Forest Service International Programs works with overseas partners to address their most critical forestry issues and concerns.
