Mission

The Sustainable Developement Institute has a tandem mission and serves as the mechanism by which the Menominee reflect on their own relationship to their forested homelands and disseminate their expertise, experience, and knowledge of sustainability into new sectors of the economy.

The Institute fulfills its mission through:

• Scholarship

• Academic preparation in sustainable development

• Research and demonstration projects

• Policy recommendations

• As a seat for both formal and informal forums on sustainable development
