Dr. Katherine Hall
Coordinator of Assessment of Student Learning
Dr. Katherine Hall accepted a full time faculty position at CMN in 1998. She received her BME degree in Music Education at Wichita State University and a Master in Music degree at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. After several years of teaching music in classroom and studio settings, Dr. Hall completed her Master of Arts and Ph.D. degrees in Ethnology and Linguistics.
Dr. Hall's work in the Ethnology arena includes field experiences in Venezuela, Ecuador, El Salvador, the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore. She has presented papers on language and ethnohistory in the Conference on American Indian Languages and she has published papers on two Carib languages and Mayan languages in English and Spanish. Dr. Hall has also served as a consultant in revisions on the Random House Dictionary. Prior to joining CMN, Dr. Hall was employed by the Menominee Tribe to serve as a cultural investigator for the Congressional Reference Case concerning the mismanagement claims filed by the Menominee Tribe against the United States in the 1970's.
Currently, Dr. Hall serves as Coordinator for Assessment of Student Learning at CMN which offers unique opportunities to explore links in sustainable development with educational outcomes.
